A CARF Three-Year Accreditation was awarded to The Mental Health Center of Western Maryland, Inc. on February 6, 2019 for the following programs: Outpatient Treatment, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and Mobile Treatment Program. CARF accreditation is a public seal of trust and commitment to quality based on internationally accepted standards. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates The Mental Health Center’s commitment to exceptional, personalized care. Transdermal Specialties Inc. (TSI) is committed to developing innovative drug delivery systems that enhance health and improve the quality of life. TSI, a pioneer in ultrasonic active patch delivery systems has developed a painless patented transdermal insulin delivery patch system that uses special ultrasound frequencies to expand the pores of the skin and deliver insulin into the bloodstream – No Needles. Insulin is too large to be absorbed by the skin normally. The use of ultrasound dilates the skin pores and pushes the drug into the tissue. This system generates ultrasonic transmissions of variable intensity and frequency on a programmed schedule that dilates the skin pores to allow easy acceptance of drugs into the bloodstream.
