Centro Hispano de Frederick
For more than 15 years, Centro Hispano de Frederick has been supporting the Frederick immigrant population to help them succeed in our community. From conducting English and citizenship classes to sponsoring summer school and events for seniors, Centro has played a crucial role in helping our neighbors from other countries prosper.

Overall focus on local Latinos with limited English proficiency
Sixteen educational and enrichment programs tailored to specific client demographics, including programs for senior citizens, young mothers with children, and youth
Outreach to rural Frederick County targeting farmworkers
Emergency relief-food pantry
More than 2,000 current clients; more than 10,000 total clients to date
Programs Include:
English classes to help clients become successful members of the Frederick community
Citizenship classes to prepare clients to become naturalized U.S. citizens
Golden Years program providing enrichment activities for seniors, including yoga, guest speakers on health topics and field trips
Exito Summer Youth Academy providing education in science, technology, engineering, math, art, reading, and social development to Frederick County public school students in grades 6-12
Multiple ancillary services in Spanish, including legal counseling, accounting/tax advice, translation, and more
